Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a Technical Data/GIS Project Manager to join our National Planning and Water Resilience Team in our Southeast Region! In this role you will assist Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers with tasks associated with water infrastructure project work.

As part of our data management and GIS team, you'll work across multiple teams to provide GIS and digital solution support to projects with water utility clients. Projects focus on data management solution implementation and GIS implementation including ESRI based ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, mobile applications, and web applications, as well as Microsoft based SQL Server, Power Automate, Power BI, and more.

Role accountabilities:

As a Technical Data/GIS Project Manager, you will work with clients and internal teams to organize around the best data solutions to meet user needs. You will leverage best practices in organizing small teams to build and roll out internal and client-facing data products. You will organize the execution of initial builds of low/no-code mobile apps and dashboards, while maintaining forward progress toward the continuous improvement / continuous development road map.

In addition, the role will:
  • Maintain calendars, MS Planner boards, and other project management assets, keeping tasks and timelines in the view of all team members.
  • Regularly review client-facing data products, flagging when updates produce bugs or issues.
  • Personally build programmatic dashboards to track progress for the client and/or internal stakeholders.
  • Hold regular meetings to determine progress; elevate questions or challenges on projects. Troubleshoot issues with the team, leveraging a strong foundational data background to facilitate root cause analysis and make adjustments.
  • Coordinate and participate in training activities to educate clients on new products and new features. Provide accountability for the development of technical documentation, ensuring the assets are held up-to-date.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably STEM related
  • 4 Years of Experience, including 2 years in a consulting capacity
  • Experience managing small data and/or software development teams while demonstrating best practices in dashboard and low/no-code app development.
  • Hands-on experience building ESRI mobile applications such as Survey123, Field Maps, and Experience Builder.
  • Intermediate-level expertise building dashboards using ArcGIS Online, Power BI, Tableau or other leading dashboard technology.
  • Working knowledge of database technology such as SQL Server and ability to write basic SQL code independently.
  • Detail Oriented, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and an excellent problem solver. Strong background writing technical documentation.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $83,600 - $125,400/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
