Job Title: Mobile QA
Location: Irvine, CA
Duration: Fulltime/Permanent
As a Mobile QA Analyst team member, you ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms, both public-facing as well as enterprise apps used by millions of users monthly. This role involves rigorous testing, detailed documentation, and close collaboration with developers to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Execution: Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing on mobile applications for iOS and Android.
Bug Identification & Reporting: Detect, document, and track defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
Build Validation: Validate mobile builds before release, ensuring compliance with business and technical requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers and managers to clarify requirements and resolve issues promptly.
Documentation: Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and detailed issue reports.
Process Improvement: Contribute to QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives for mobile testing workflows.
Adaptability: Respond quickly to changing business requirements and testing priorities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
Experience with mobile app testing (iOS and Android)
Familiarity with QA tools (Azure DevOps, Selenium, or similar)
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Databases
Minimum 2 years of experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or newer
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and related tools
Experience in creating, updating test data using SQL queries with semi-complex joins.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Engage with the development team to resolve identified issues.
Cross-team collaboration to identify integration issues with the other applications.
Preferred:
Knowledge of automation frameworks for mobile testing
Experience with tools like Appium or similar
Experience working in a rapid Agile environment, contributing equally to team projects or working individually on multiple parallel product versions
Comfortable presenting at daily stand-ups with other developers and QA personnel
Ability to work in a dynamic, demanding, and challenging business environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex systems and logic to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1 3 years of experience in mobile application QA or software testing
