Job Title Workday Functional Consultant – Migration & Transformation

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to support end-to-end migration from legacy HR, Payroll, Finance, or ERP systems into Workday. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to analyze current processes, design future-state solutions, manage data migration activities, and ensure successful Workday deployment.

The ideal candidate should have strong functional knowledge of Workday modules, experience in legacy system transformation projects, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional workshops and gather business requirements for Workday implementation and migration projects.
• Analyze legacy HRIS/ERP systems and map existing processes to Workday functionality.
• Support migration from systems such as:
  • SAP ERP
  • Oracle PeopleSoft
  • Oracle E-Business Suite
  • ADP Workforce Now
  • Ceridian Dayforce
  • UKG Pro
• Configure Workday functional modules based on business requirements.
• Perform gap analysis between legacy systems and Workday capabilities.
• Create functional design documents, business process flows, and configuration workbooks.
• Coordinate data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Work with integration teams on inbound/outbound interfaces using:
  • EIB
  • Core Connectors
  • Studio
  • APIs
• Support testing activities including:
  • SIT
  • UAT
  • Regression Testing
• Provide production support and post-go-live stabilization.
• Train end users and prepare knowledge transfer documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical architects, HR, payroll, finance, and compliance teams.

• Report Writer & Calculated Fields
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Integration troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR, Finance, or related field.
• Workday Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of Workday functional consulting experience.
• Experience with at least 1–2 full-cycle Workday implementations or migration projects.
