Database Administrator DBA- III

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) - III to support the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of enterprise database systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Oracle database technologies, performance tuning, backup and recovery, automation, and high-availability environments. This role involves supporting critical database infrastructure, participating in strategic planning and architecture initiatives, troubleshooting complex database environments, and contributing to operational excellence across enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Provide advanced technical support, database administration, problem management, and maintenance for enterprise database systems. Perform installation, configuration, customization, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle database environments. Analyze and troubleshoot complex database issues across critical production systems. Support database upgrades, patching activities, and system maintenance initiatives. Administer backup and recovery processes using Oracle RMAN. Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Clusterware (CRS) environments. Support Oracle Data Guard configuration, switchover, and failover processes. Administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) environments. Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code, database packages, and database structures. Assist with strategic planning, database architecture, and system design activities. Support database security implementation and operational compliance requirements. Participate in project activities and provide technical expertise for database-related initiatives. Develop and maintain automation scripts and administrative tooling for Oracle database operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system implementation, transition, and operational support activities. Participate in on-call support rotations and assist with issue resolution during extended support periods when required. Required Qualifications Comprehensive experience installing, configuring, and administering Oracle Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). Strong hands-on experience with database monitoring, tuning, and performance optimization. Expert knowledge of Oracle database upgrades and patching processes. Strong experience with Oracle RMAN backup and recovery mechanisms. Expertise in Oracle database security, database design, packages, and database structures. Advanced knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL development. Strong experience with Oracle Clusterware (CRS) concepts, administration, and troubleshooting. Experience supporting Patch Set Update (PSU) and Release Update (RU) patching activities. Experience configuring and supporting Oracle Data Guard environments including switchover and failover processes. Experience administering Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM). Experience working with AIX/Linux systems, Unix environments, networking, and storage technologies. Experience supporting Windows operating systems. Intermediate experience with Ansible automation. Intermediate to advanced scripting and automation skills related to Oracle administration. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in collaborative technical environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting enterprise-scale or highly available database environments. Familiarity with operational risk management and compliance practices. Experience supporting automated database administration and infrastructure management initiatives. Exposure to enterprise system architecture and strategic infrastructure planning.
