Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Onsite, Houston Texas

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support for various web-based and enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain web-based J2EE/Portal applications, ensuring alignment with SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) platforms using Agile methodologies.
• Participate in requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing, and deployment of new application components.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration and completion of tasks.
• Create and maintain technical and design documentation.
• Perform system analysis and provide solutions for problem resolution.
• Identify opportunities for software optimization, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data and process models as required.
• Employ contemporary testing methodologies to ensure error-free application functionality.
• Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
• Participate in program design, coding, and test walkthrough meetings to provide technical input regarding standards and customer requirements.
• Provide ongoing application support including defect repair, maintenance, and production operations support for Java-based applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, analyze software for defects, and improve application reliability and performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• 8 years of hands-on experience in server-side/web services development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-level applications on the J2EE development platform.
• 8 years of hands-on experience in all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
• 8 years of hands-on development experience in J2EE application servers, implementing authentication and authorization strategies, and working with caching mechanisms.
• 8 years of hands-on programming experience using Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, Spring, JSON, XML, JWT, NPM, Maven, OpenAPI v3, OAuth, Postman, ReadyAPI, Mulesoft, and/or similar technologies.
• 8 years of experience in implementing REST services, particularly supporting client-facing applications and securing REST services using JWT, OAuth, and related technologies/standards.
• 8 years of experience in developing reusable and testable modules and components with ownership of enterprise-level web services.
