Regulatory Reports- Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Oakland, CA

Pay rate: $50 - $70 per hour
Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst is a key member of the Data & Analytics team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise reporting solutions across SSRS, Power BI, and regulatory reporting channels. The role requires strong technical proficiency, deep knowledge of CMS and State regulatory reporting requirements, and the ability to integrate, validate, and analyze data across fragmented clinical and operational systems. The analyst will also play an integral role in strengthening data governance practices and contributing to the organization's unified data foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Internal Reporting
- Develop and maintain SSRS and Power BI reports for operational, clinical, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Prepare, manage, and submit accurate, timely CMS and State required regulatory reports.
- Ensure alignment and compliance with CMS reporting standards and other regulatory obligations.
- Partner with Compliance, Operations, and Clinical teams to interpret reporting requirements and deliver insights that support audit readiness and compliance outcomes.
Data Integration & Analysis
- Work extensively with data from operational systems such as Salesforce, eCW, and claims systems; analyze and understand source to target data flows for regulatory reports submission.
- Perform data analysis to validate, cleanse, and reconcile data across disparate sources.
Business Intelligence Development
- Design and develop new BI reports and dashboards; optimize existing reporting assets for performance, usability, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business needs into effective BI and analytics solutions.
Data Governance & Quality
- Support enterprise data governance initiatives by contributing to data standards, definitions, data quality rules, and documentation.
- Partner closely with data engineering teams to ensure consistent, high quality data ingestion and alignment with the unified data foundation.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Data Analytics.
- Strong hands on expertise with SQL Server / T SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare reporting, including CMS regulatory reporting and State level medical or clinical reporting.
- Strong understanding of data integration, data modeling, and interoperability.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data governance programs or enterprise data initiatives.
- Familiarity with healthcare operational workflows and clinical terminology.
- Background in a mission driven or healthcare focused organization.
