Title: Java Application Support Lead
Location: Bellevue WA or Remote for candidate who are locates in PST Zone
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Application Support Engineer to lead production support, monitoring, and reliability initiatives across enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS, observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cross-layer troubleshooting. This role requires strong technical leadership, proactive monitoring capabilities, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a microservices-based ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end application support across production and non-production environments.
Should have a Java application development background or application support experience
Design, implement, and optimize monitoring and alerting solutions using Splunk, OTEL and Grafana.
Write complex Splunk queries, create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring use cases in Splunk.
Drive root cause analysis and provide advanced troubleshooting across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployments and operational stability.
Support and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve system reliability and performance.
Automate operational processes using scripting languages such as Python, Shell, Bash, or PowerShell.
Ensure adherence to SLAs, incident management processes, and continuous improvement practices.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership in application support best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
Strong hands-on experience with Splunk and OTEL:
Writing complex Splunk queries
Creating dashboards and alerts
Building monitoring and observability
Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Solid understanding of Kubernetes & containerization concepts
Experience with Grafana for visualizing metrics and building dashboards.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across:
Application layer
Middleware
Infrastructure
Proficiency in at least one scripting language:
Python
Shell
Bash
PowerShell
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
Terraform
Experience supporting microservices-based architectures.
