Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Application Analyst to support the transition of nursing workload, acuity, and staffing workflows from OptiLink Workforce Management into Epic Precision Staffing. This role will work closely with clinical leaders, operations, and IT teams to build, configure, test, and optimize staffing models that support safe patient care and efficient workforce utilization.

The ideal candidate understands healthcare staffing workflows and has hands-on experience with Epic build, data validation, and system optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
Epic Precision Staffing Build & Configuration:

  • Translate existing OptiLink staffing rules, acuity scoring, and workload models into Epic Precision Staffing.
  • Configure task standards, workload measures, and staffing scenario models.
  • Support build for patient-to-staff ratio management and workload balancing.

Data Migration & Validation:

  • Analyze historical OptiLink data and ensure accurate mapping into Epic.
  • Validate acuity scoring logic and workload calculations.
  • Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).

Integration & Workflow Optimization:

  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure workflows align with nursing practice.
  • Support integration of census, acuity, and staffing data within Epic.
  • Identify opportunities to improve staffing efficiency and reporting.

Testing, Training & Support:

  • Develop test scripts and validate system functionality.
  • Support go-live planning and stabilization.
  • Provide end-user support and training to nursing leadership and staffing teams.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain build documentation, workflows, and change controls.
  • Ensure configurations align with regulatory and patient safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience supporting or building within Epic applications.
  • Understanding of nursing workflows, patient acuity, and staffing models.
  • Experience with system configuration, testing, and validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Epic Precision Staffing certification or experience.
  • Experience migrating or supporting workforce management/staffing systems (OptiLink or similar).
  • Prior experience in a hospital or health system environment.
  • Strong analytical and workflow design skills.
