Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for an Onsite contract to hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a 6+ month contract to hire opportunity.

Compensation: $55.00 - $62.50 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Systems Analyst to support the migration of a capital markets platform from an on-premise system to a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution. This role combines strong product ownership capabilities with hands-on business analysis, including requirements definition, process mapping, and support for testing and implementation activities. The ideal candidate has deep functional knowledge of capital markets platforms and can bridge business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to ensure a successful transition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary Product Owner for the SaaS implementation
  • Own and manage the product backlog, including epics, features, and user stories
  • Prioritize requirements based on business value, regulatory needs, and implementation dependencies
  • Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders, vendors, and internal delivery teams
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and SaaS capabilities, leveraging standard functionality where possible
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for the migration
  • Perform current-state and future-state process mapping, including gap analysis
  • Translate business requirements into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Support data mapping, integration requirements, and reporting needs related to the migration
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes by adopting SaaS best practices rather than replicating legacy behavior
  • Partner with QA and business users to define test scenarios, test cases, and expected outcomes
  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect triage
  • Validate that delivered functionality meets documented requirements and business expectations
  • Assist with cutover planning, training materials, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Maintain, monitor, and update assigned application systems
  • Research complex problems and take appropriate action to correct
  • Analyze existing systems or procedures and identify technical or procedural improvements
  • Develop and provide documentation for users and training purposes
  • Develop operational procedures for products, services and systems
  • Design processes to meet regulatory requirements

Primary Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with capital markets platforms, preferably in a Product Owner or senior functional role
  • Prior experience working with on-premise capital markets platforms
  • Proven background as a Business Systems Analyst, including requirements documentation and process modeling
  • Experience supporting SaaS implementations and migrations from legacy on-prem systems
  • Strong understanding of capital markets workflows (e.g., trading, settlements, reference data, lifecycle processing)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical audiences
  • Product mindset with a focus on business value
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity during system transformation
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused

Desired Skills:
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations in capital markets systems
  • Experience working directly with vendors in a packaged software implementation
  • Background supporting testing activities and UAT coordination
