Job Description

We are seeking a Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Analyst to manage telecom expense, contracts, and vendor performance for voice, data, and mobility services across a global footprint. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in telecom lifecycle and financial management and a proven ability to optimize costs, enforce SLAs, and maintain accurate service inventories at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities:

• Manage telecom expense and contract management for voice, data, and cellular services, including end-to-end vendor lifecycle oversight.


• Oversee complex billing and a multimillion-dollar budget, including internal customer management and stakeholder reporting.


• Drive wireless, data, and voice optimizations; perform vendor contract analysis; benchmark wireless rates; and conduct periodic inventory reviews with quality control.


• Manage and support global billing processes across multiple telecom vendors.


• Measure, monitor, and analyze carrier performance against SLAs and KPIs; manage and monitor TEM vendor performance to defined SLAs.


• Maintain accurate records of mobility, data, and voice service inventories, accounts, and invoices.


• Analyze telecom invoices for audits, disputes, adjustments, approvals, and payments; ensure adherence to contracts or SOWs on a monthly or quarterly basis.


• Interface with the TEM services provider to align budgets and accruals, resolve issues, and manage account activities and performance.


• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to consolidate and streamline operations and identify efficiency improvements to reduce operational cost.


• Identify cost savings through historical spend reviews and utilization analysis; track bills to verify data accuracy and eliminate billing errors.


• Serve as liaison for internal inquiries regarding services, operations, and billing; provide status updates on issues and deadlines across departments and business units.


• Operate in a high-volume transaction environment with strong attention to detail and analytical rigor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Telco expense management and financial management across voice, data, and mobility.


• Hands-on experience with telecom invoicing, audits, disputes, and contract compliance to SLAs and KPIs.


• Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Tableau skills, including large data manipulation, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.


• Knowledge of financial analysis and accounts payable processes.


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or Telecommunications and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with 5-6 years of experience in the telco industry and/or Telecom Expense Management (TEM).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with enterprise TEM platforms and carrier portals.


• Background in cost optimization initiatives and benchmarking for mobility and network services.
