Summary

Job Description – ServiceNow Inventory Control Associate

Position Overview

We are looking for a ServiceNow Inventory Control Associate to support the management, tracking, and maintenance of IT assets and inventory using the ServiceNow platform. The role will ensure accurate inventory records, timely updates, and effective coordination with IT and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records in ServiceNow.
  • Create, update, and manage asset records, including hardware, software, and related inventory.
  • Track asset movement, allocation, transfers, returns, and disposals.
  • Perform regular inventory reconciliation and identify discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with IT support, procurement, vendors, and other teams regarding asset-related activities.
  • Ensure asset information such as ownership, location, status, serial numbers, and configuration details is accurate.
  • Support asset lifecycle management from procurement through retirement and disposal.
  • Generate inventory and asset management reports from ServiceNow.
  • Assist with periodic physical inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate missing, duplicate, or incorrect asset records and coordinate resolution.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures for asset management and inventory control.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support continuous improvement of inventory processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of ServiceNow, particularly Asset Management and/or Configuration Management.
  • Good understanding of IT hardware, software, and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
