Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in both Manual Testing and Playwright Automation to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications throughout the SDLC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining test plans and scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement in testing practices.

Manual Testing

Well Versed in manual testing (API, UI, Data, functional and regression testing).

Automated Testing (Playwright):

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Ensure test coverage across functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Maintain test data and environments for automation execution.
  • Optimize test execution time and reliability.

Manual Testing

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Execute manual test cases for functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Collaborate with developers and BA s to understand requirements and ensure testability.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to align testing efforts with Agile practices.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.

Require Qualifications

Technologies

  • Playwright, Selenium (optional), JavaScript/TypeScript
  • JIRA, TestRail, Postman, Git, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • REST APIs, SQL, HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable test scripts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement test strategies for new and existing features using playwright
  • Ensure timely execution of test cycles and reporting of results.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality.
  • Continuously improve test processes and automation frameworks.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Education

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Related Work Experience

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 1 2 years in Playwright automation.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software in Agile environments.
