Role Overview

Need a Data Analyst with automation capability to improve an existing, manual reporting process.

Current Process

• Data is pulled from multiple sources:ServiceNow (primary source) Compliance reporting Daily updates from multiple PMs (Excel)
• Data is:Combined in SQL Server Output into a daily Excel workbook Fed into Power BI dashboards for leadership reporting
• Purpose:Track server refresh progress, remediation plans, and timelines

Key Problem

• Current workflow is:Manual, fragmented, and inefficient Heavy reliance on Excel
• ServiceNow data is used but not fully authoritative
• Team wants to eliminate intermediate/manual steps

Ideal Candidate Capabilities

• Strong in:SQL / data engineering Power BI Data integration & automation (e.g., SSIS)
• Able to:Design more automated, scalable data pipelines Improve process efficiency and reduce manual effort Analyze and re-architect the current process ( why are we doing it this way? )

Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Data Analyst / Data Automation Consultant to support a large-scale server refresh program. This role will focus on improving and automating complex reporting workflows by integrating multiple data sources, optimizing data processes, and delivering scalable reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and can proactively identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and build sustainable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Current-State Assessment & Process Understanding

• Learn and document current reporting workflows and dependencies
• Recreate existing reporting and data processes to ensure continuity
• Analyze current-state pain points, bottlenecks, and data quality issues

Data Analysis & Process Optimization

• Evaluate existing data architecture and workflows
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability
• Recommend better approaches for data collection, transformation, and reporting
• Improve data integrity across multiple systems and reporting sources

Automation & Solution Development

• Design and implement automation for recurring manual processes
• Develop scalable data pipelines and backend integrations
• Reduce reliance on manual spreadsheet-based workflows
• Support sustainable reporting and operational efficiencies

Reporting & Visualization

• Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards used by leadership
• Build meaningful visualizations that clearly communicate trends, risks, and progress
• Translate technical data into business-focused insights and executive reporting

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with SQL / SQL Server
• Experience with Power BI development and reporting
• Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or similar ETL/data integration tools
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and data pipelines
• Experience working with multiple enterprise data sources
• Advanced Excel/data management experience
• Experience automating manual reporting processes

Preferred Experience

• Experience with ServiceNow data/CMDB environments
• Familiarity with SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Lists, or Power Apps
• Experience in enterprise infrastructure, server environments, or IT operations reporting
• Experience working in highly regulated or large enterprise environments
