TITLE= Lead QA Automation with Retail Client Experience

LOCATION- Akron, OH  MUST BE LOCAL Hybrid Onsite Role

DURATION- 6 MONTHS

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA analysts and automation engineers.
  • Define and execute the enterprise test automation strategy.
  • Establish QA standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within QA processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks (UI, API, database, integration).
  • Implement CI/CD-integrated test automation pipelines.
  • Ensure regression, performance, and system integration testing coverage.
  • Validate integrations between ERP, MES, PLM, WMS, and shop floor systems.
  • Lead test planning, test case design, and defect management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
  • Participate in system upgrades, plant rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO, GMP (if applicable), or other regulatory standards.
  • Drive root cause analysis and defect prevention practices.
  • Develop QA metrics and reporting dashboards for leadership visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of QA experience with 3+ years in automation.
  • 2+ years of leadership or team lead experience.
  • Experience working within manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools
    • API automation (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
    • CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
    • SQL and database validation
  • Experience testing ERP/MES systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC/SCADA integration testing.
  • Familiarity with IoT and Industry 4.0 environments.

Performance testing experience (JMeter, LoadRunner).
