Description of responsibilities:
Role Overview
We are looking for a Program Manager with deep expertise in data governance and a strong track record delivering complex, data driven initiatives. In this role, you will coordinate cross functional programs that advance our Capital Markets data strategy while ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Data Strategy. You will drive consistency between data governance standards and business objectives without directly managing individual contributors.
You will partner closely with the DML and collaborate with data leads, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure program tasks are completed thoughtfully and in support of our data governance and data quality goals. This role is critical to maturing our data governance capabilities and enabling scalable, compliant, and trusted data operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end to end program management for major data governance and data enablement initiatives across the CM CDAO Office.
Plan, execute, and deliver projects focused on metadata management, data quality, data cataloging, data lineage, and policy enforcement.
Work with the DML and RM to align enterprise data governance policies with business and technology use cases.
Coordinate the delivery of data products, data controls, and operating model enhancements across Authoritative Data Source domains.
Build and maintain detailed program plans, including risks, dependencies, timelines, and success metrics.
Facilitate working groups, steering committees, and stakeholder communications to maintain transparency and momentum.
Own meeting preparation, guide discussions to stay on track, document action items, and monitor milestone progress.
Oversee PMO functions such as risk/issue management, dependency tracking, and reporting.
Enable clear, consistent communication across data, business, technical, and operational partners.
Support change management and adoption of data governance capabilities across the CM Data Enablement 360 program.
Maintain and evolve dashboards that track program deliverables from a data risk perspective; manage interdependencies, enforce accountability, and ensure teams meet committed timelines.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in program or project management, ideally within data governance, data management, or enterprise data programs.
Strong understanding of data governance disciplines: metadata, data quality, data lineage, data policies, and general data governance practices.
Demonstrated success delivering cross functional, data centric programs in complex organizations.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills across business, data, and technology teams.
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Alation, Manta) and familiarity with frameworks such as DAMA DMBOK is an asset.
PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience building and maintaining program dashboards, tracking interdependencies, and driving teams to deliver risk aligned outcomes.
