Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Salem, OR (97312). Candidates must reside in the state of Oregon and be able to travel to Salem once per quarter.
Employment Type: 8+ month W2 contract. No C2C or sponsorship available.
About the Role
Talent Groups is seeking a Business Analyst to support product development and technology teams across multiple business portfolios. This role focuses on translating complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support software delivery and product development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can partner effectively with both technical and business stakeholders while helping drive alignment from concept through delivery.
What You Will Do
• Lead business analysis activities by eliciting, documenting, and managing business and technical requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis
• Translate business needs into clear documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and workflow diagrams
• Partner with product owners, architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements and successful solution delivery
• Support Agile development processes by managing and refining requirements and assisting with backlog related activities
• Create test cases, support user acceptance testing, and validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives
• Prepare release notes, training materials, and stakeholder communications to support successful adoption of new features and updates
• Analyze workflows and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency
• Collaborate across teams to ensure technology solutions align with business goals
What We Are Looking For
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and requirements definition skills
• Experience working in software delivery environments such as Agile as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders and translate needs into clear, structured documentation
• Experience with process mapping, data analysis, workflow design, and functional testing
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross team collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using AI tools such as Copilot, generative AI, or intelligent automation to support business analysis activities including documentation, data analysis, requirements validation, or test case creation
