Senior Program Manager Data Governance

Location: Charlotte, NC / New Jersey (NJ) / Connecticut (CT)
Duration: 9+ Months Contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager Data Governance to lead and drive enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and program execution capabilities to ensure successful implementation of data governance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage large-scale Data Governance programs across the organization
Define program roadmap, strategy, and execution plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Business units
Drive implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Manage program timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
Provide regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
Drive data quality, metadata management, and data stewardship initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management with a focus on Data Governance
Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Quality frameworks
Proven experience managing enterprise-level programs
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Banking or Financial Services industry
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., BCBS 239, CCPA, GDPR)
Experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
PMP, PgMP, or similar certification preferred
