Position Overview
We are seeking a Systems Analyst II to support a global Oracle Data Warehouse environment and related enterprise reporting platforms. This role is responsible for providing advanced production support, troubleshooting complex data and application issues, coordinating technical resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across critical business systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in SQL, data warehousing, ETL processes, and enterprise applications, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. This individual will serve as a key contributor in maintaining system stability, supporting enhancements, and ensuring high-quality data and reporting solutions.
Work Schedule
- Corporate location: Onsite Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Plant locations: Onsite Monday through Friday.
- Standard Eastern Time business hours with schedules falling between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM ET.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production support issues across databases, applications, and integrations.
- Write, analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Support enterprise Data Warehouse solutions and related reporting platforms.
- Coordinate technical efforts across infrastructure, database, application, and support teams.
- Lead and oversee offshore technical resources, ensuring quality and timely delivery of work.
- Support system upgrades, deployments, enhancements, and technology expansion initiatives.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Drive continuous optimization efforts through system enhancements, automation, and process improvements.
- Partner with database administrators and technical teams on performance tuning and system optimization.
- Support security, compliance, and cybersecurity initiatives across supported systems.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and support procedures.
- Ensure adherence to development standards, change management processes, and support best practices.
- Participate in project planning, risk identification, testing activities, and implementation efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Strong proficiency writing and executing SQL, including developing complex queries from scratch.
- Working knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and Data Security principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience troubleshooting production support issues in a complex enterprise environment.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of ownership and accountability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.
- Experience with Oracle ERP or Oracle E-Business Suite environments.
- Exposure to Finance, Project Accounting, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, or Procure-to-Pay business processes.
- Experience with Oracle R12 (12.2), Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, and Linux.
- Experience with performance tuning, database optimization, and analyzing stored procedures.
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms such as Hyperion, SQL Server, or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience leading offshore development or support teams.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience working within project-based environments.
