About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions on the Snowflake platform. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders to enable reliable, performant, and governed data access for reporting, BI, and advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake, SQL, and chosen orchestration tools.
  • Build scalable data models and schemas (star/snowflake, normalized/denormalized) optimized for Snowflake.
  • Implement Snowflake features: micro-partitions, clustering keys, materialized views, streams, tasks, and zero-copy cloning.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Integrate Snowflake with data ingestion tools (e.g., Fivetran, Stitch, Matillion, Talend), messaging systems (Kafka), and cloud storage (S3, ADLS).
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data governance and security teams to enforce access controls, masking, and data-sharing policies.
  • Provide documentation, runbooks, and knowledge transfer to analytics and engineering teams.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD for database objects, and best-practice enforcement.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years working with Snowflake in production environments.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience implementing complex transformations in Snowflake.
  • Practical knowledge of Snowflake-specific features (streams, tasks, cloning, time travel, secure views).
  • Experience with ELT/ETL tools (Fivetran, Matillion, Talend, Informatica) or custom ingestion solutions.
  • Familiarity with orchestration/automation tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or equivalent).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and cloud storage (S3, ADLS).
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, normalization).
  • Experience with data governance, security controls, role-based access control, and masking.
  • Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake certification (SnowPro Core or equivalent).
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and analytics use-cases.
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data transformation and automation.
  • Experience designing multi-tenant or cross-account data-sharing solutions in Snowflake.
  • Prior experience at a SaaS, fintech, or large-scale analytics environment.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work within the USA.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Flexible schedule and focus on work-life balance.
  • Professional development stipend and certification support.
  • Opportunity to work on large-scale analytics projects and modern data stack.
