You Are
You're a hands-on engineering manager with a strong software background and growing experience as a people leader. You're comfortable coaching engineers, managing day-to-day execution, and partnering with technical leads and cross-functional teams to keep work organized and on track. You bring familiarity with RF communications, radar, or sensor operations, or can ramp quickly in that environment. This role is a strong fit for someone ready to grow as a first-line manager in a technically sophisticated software organization.

This position is on-site in Exton, PA and requires compliance with U.S. government security and/or access requirements.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead a team developing RF communications and radar modeling features in STK
  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, feedback, and employee support
  • Manage team priorities, execution, and delivery against schedules
  • Partner with Product Management and Technical Leads on roadmap execution
  • Identifyrisks, remove blockers, and keep work moving
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team grows
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Documentation to support release quality
  • Reinforce strong software development practices across the team

What You'll Need
  • BS in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience; MS with 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year
  • Experience leading or directly supervising software engineers
  • Ability to manage team priorities, execution, and delivery schedules
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers
  • Strong communicationand cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Solid understanding of software development practices and processes
  • Familiarity with RF communications, radar, or sensor operations
  • Experience with STK, C++, scripting/programming, or AI/ML is a plus

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You'll join the Digital Mission Engineering Product Development Business Unit, leading the Communications and Radar team responsible for advancing the RF communications and radar modeling capabilities in STK. The team includes both subject matter experts and developers, and you'll work closely with Product Management, Technical Leads, Quality Assurance, and Documentation teams to deliver features that matter.
