Overview / Role Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Workday Financials SME to take ownership of and support end-to-end finance processes within Workday Financials. This senior role focuses on ensuring accurate data, robust reporting, and insightful financial analyses across core finance processes. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Workday Financial modules, enabling them to build, enhance, and deliver financial reporting and analytics that facilitate informed business decision-making. Familiarity with Databricks and integrations is a plus, but not the primary focus of this role.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Financials Functional Ownership
- Serve as the subject matter expert in Workday Financials modules, including:
  - Procure to Pay (P2P)
  - Supplier Accounts / Supplier Master
  - Expenses
  - General Ledger (GL)
  - Accounts Receivable (AR)
  - Customer Accounts / Customer Master
  - Project Financials
- Support end-to-end finance processes, ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Optimize the Financial Data Model (FDM) to meet reporting and accounting needs.

Financial Reporting & Analytics
- Design, build, and maintain Workday Financial reports and dashboards.
- Develop analytics outputs encompassing revenue reporting, aging reports, and financial performance tracking.
- Ensure all reports align with business requirements and accounting standards.
- Facilitate self-service reporting capabilities for Finance users.

Data & Integration (Nice to Have)
- Collaborate on data integrations, extracting data from Workday Financials.
- Work with data platforms (e.g., Databricks) to enable downstream analytics.
- Contribute to improving data pipelines and accessibility for finance reporting.

Required Experience & Skills

Must have strong hands-on experience with:
- Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Supplier Management (Supplier Accounts / Master Data)
- Financial Accounting
- General Ledger (GL)
- Financial Data Model (FDM)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Customer Accounts & Invoicing
- Project Financials
Demonstrated expertise in Workday Financial Reporting and Finance Analytics.
Proven experience in delivering end-to-end finance coverage within Workday.
Strong understanding of financial processes, controls, and data structures.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and reporting solutions.

Must Have

Legal work eligibility
Minimum 3 years of experience in Workday Financials
Essential technical capability in Workday Financials modules as outlined above

Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Workday integrations (RaaS, APIs, etc.)
Exposure to Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
Understanding of data pipelines supporting financial reporting.
Workday Pro or Partner Certifications in Workday Financials
