Description
We are looking for an Azure Systems Engineer to support and enhance enterprise infrastructure in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable Microsoft-based environments across cloud and on-premises platforms while helping teams resolve complex system issues. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with directory services, server administration, and end-user platform support, along with a practical approach to improving stability and performance.
Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize Azure Active Directory and on-premises Active Directory services to support secure identity and access management.
Maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including configuration, patching, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Support Citrix infrastructure to ensure dependable virtual application and desktop delivery for business users.
Manage Microsoft Exchange environments and assist with mail flow, account administration, and issue resolution.
Investigate and resolve system-level incidents, working across cloud and server platforms to minimize downtime and service disruption.
Implement security and operational best practices for core infrastructure components, including user authentication and server hardening.
Collaborate with internal technology teams on infrastructure improvements, upgrades, and platform-related changes as needed.
Requirements
Hands-on experience administering Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server installation, support, and maintenance.
Experience supporting Citrix technologies in a production setting.
Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange administration and troubleshooting.
Ability to diagnose technical issues across server, identity, and end-user access systems.
Understanding of infrastructure security practices related to authentication, access control, and system reliability.
