Network Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team in Texas in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This position will play a key role in building, securing, and supporting enterprise connectivity across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth across routing, switching, SD-WAN, and network security, along with the ability to resolve complex issues and improve overall network performance.

Responsibilities:
Build and support enterprise network solutions spanning on-premises infrastructure, data centers, and cloud-based environments.
Lead SD-WAN deployments by defining traffic policies, improving path selection, and enhancing application-aware connectivity.
Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto security platforms, including firewall policies, centralized management, and secure remote access services.
Configure and maintain Cisco networking technologies across routing, switching, quality of service, and resilient network design.
Oversee Meraki-managed environments, including security appliances, wireless networks, switching, and dashboard operations.
Design and maintain cloud networking components such as virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, transit connectivity, and hybrid integrations within Azure and related platforms.
Act as the escalation point for advanced network and security incidents, driving timely diagnosis and resolution.
Create and update technical documentation, including network diagrams, standards, operating procedures, and support guides.
Improve visibility and stability through monitoring, automation, and network performance tuning initiatives.
Participate in on-call support, change execution, and incident response activities to maintain reliable operations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Network Engineer supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure across hybrid environments.
Advanced knowledge of Cisco routing and switching platforms, including routers and enterprise network architecture.
Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls and strong understanding of network security policy management.
Experience supporting Cisco ASA environments and troubleshooting complex connectivity issues.
Strong working knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and dynamic routing design principles.
Experience with cloud networking in Microsoft Azure, including hybrid connectivity and virtual network design.
Ability to work across multi-vendor environments and serve as a senior technical escalation resource.
