SALESFORCE RELEASE MANAGER (REMOTE OPPORTUNITY)
The Salesforce Release Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Salesforce releases across sandboxes and production, using Flosum
as the primary DevOps and release management platform. This role ensures safe, predictable, and compliant delivery of Salesforce changes that support key
business initiatives.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end Salesforce release lifecycle, from intake and planning through deployment, validation, and post-release support.
Manage deployments (build, merge, deploy, rollback) across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
Configure and administer Flosum, including pipelines, branching/merging, approval workflows, and compliance/audit features.
Maintain version control and release packages in Flosum, ensuring accurate metadata tracking, code reviews, and auditability.
Govern Salesforce environments and sandboxes, including refresh strategy, data seeding, and alignment with the environment hierarchy.
Coordinate closely with product owners, admins, developers, and QA to define release scope, schedules, and cutover activities.
Support testing cycles by ensuring environments are release-ready and deployments align with test plans and timelines.
Monitor releases in real time, manage risks and issues, and execute rollback plans when needed.
Define, document, and continuously improve release and DevOps processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Salesforce release management, DevOps, or configuration management experience.
Hands-on expertise with Flosum for Salesforce deployments, version control, pipelines, and governance. Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, environments, and deployment strategies.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and managing sprint-based release calendars.
Proven ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and resolve environment inconsistencies.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Administrator and/or Platform Developer certification.
Flosum certifications or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
Experience with other Salesforce DevOps/CI/CD tools (e.g., Git-based workflows, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Experience in regulated or high-compliance environments.
