Description :
Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP Semantics Data Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade semantic data models and analytics solutions within an SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. This role focuses on Embedded Analytics, SAP Datasphere, and BW, enabling scalable, consistent, and business-aligned reporting across platforms. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with technical implementation, ensuring high-quality, governed data models that support real-time and strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics solutions using ABAP CDS views (analytical, transactional, and composite views).
- Enable operational and analytical reporting through SAP Fiori Analytical Apps, Query Browser, and KPI Modeler.
- Translate business reporting requirements into scalable semantic models aligned with S/4 core data structures.
- Develop and maintain semantic data models to standardize KPIs, measures, and dimensions across reporting platforms.
- Ensure consistent metric definitions across SAP S/4 Embedded Analytics, BW, and downstream analytics environments.
- Document data models, transformations, and business logic to support governance, reuse, and maintainability.
- Design, configure, and support SAP Datasphere Replication Flows for ingesting data from S/4HANA CDS views, enabling near real-time analytics.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Datasphere replication pipelines and BW data flows, including delta handling, data validation, and consistency checks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and data architects to align reporting solutions with enterprise data strategy. Requirements
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and ABAP CDS view development.
- Strong understanding of SAP Fiori analytical tools, including KPI Modeler and Query Browser.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere (including replication flows) and SAP BW data modeling.
- Solid knowledge of semantic modelling principles, including KPI standardization and data governance.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical data models and reporting solutions.
- Familiarity with data integration concepts such as delta handling, real-time/near real-time data processing, and data quality validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
