Summary

The Integration Software Engineer role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining subsurface software applications and plug-ins. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, optimize performance, and ensure security, scalability and reliability.

Key skills include Object Oriented Programming (C++, C#, .Net), Python, Azure, High Performance Computing (HPC), and applications integration.
This role is ideal for a senior developer with a strong background in geology and geophysics, who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance software solutions for subsurface interpretation and earth modeling workflows.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain desktop and cloud-based integration solutions using modern software stacks.
Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to translate domain workflows into robust software applications that reduce subsurface uncertainty and cycle times.
Build and maintain APIs and data pipelines that support seismic interpretation, geologic modeling, and reservoir characterization business capabilities.
Integrate AI/ML models into interpretation and earth modeling workflows to enhance automation and predictive capabilities.
Ensure software quality, usability, and performance through unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployment strategies.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
Provide technical mentorship and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in geology, geophysics, computer science, or engineering (master's degree preferred).
At least 5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry with subsurface geology and geophysics domain knowledge.
Proficiency in OOP including C++ and C#, Python, .Net Framework, Azure services, and DevOps.
Experience with multi-thread/parallel computing, AI/ML, HPC, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Knowledge and working experience of software architecture & design patterns.
Understanding authentication and cybersecurity protocols including OAuth.
Familiarity and experience with OpenGL, Qt, and OSDU is a plus.
Familiarity with Petrel, Techlog, Studio, and related subsurface tools is a strong plus.

Proven ability to work independently and in a cross-functional collaborative team environment.
Ability to mentor and grow others' technical capabilities, share knowledge/experience, and collaborate with domain experts.
