Position Overview


Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong understanding of Capital Markets to lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory and strategic initiatives. This role requires a seasoned project management professional who can effectively partner with front-office teams and business stakeholders while managing complex projects across cross-functional organizations.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering projects within financial services, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities including planning, execution, monitoring, governance, risk management, and project closure.
  • Manage multiple project dependencies while ensuring alignment with enterprise change management initiatives.
  • Partner with Capital Markets Trading, Analytics, Finance, Risk, Technology, and other business functions to successfully deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate and communicate project status, financials, risks, issues, and decisions to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support regulatory-driven programs while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and governance requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, status reports, executive presentations, dashboards, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project milestones, deliverables, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful execution.
  • Utilize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint to manage projects and provide executive-level reporting.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with business and technical teams to drive project outcomes and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Project Management experience, preferably within Financial Services or Capital Markets.
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trading environments.
  • Experience managing regulatory, strategic, or enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead projects in a matrixed organization and collaborate across multiple business units.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Regulatory Change initiatives.
  • Experience supporting Market Risk and/or Model Development projects.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Experience working with large financial institutions or investment banking organizations.

Pay Range: $60 - $63

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
