  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Programming skills, ideally with Python and/or Java.
  • Ability to analyze performance, reliability, and resource-usage issues in system code.
  • Knowledge of hardware-software interactions, platform constraints, operating systems, runtime environments, or embedded-system architecture.
  • Skill in designing moderately complex systems software components and estimating development effort and complexity.

Bonus Experience
  • Experience with SAP, AWS, DevOps, GitHub, REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with operational dashboards and automation.
  • Direct experience configuring or supporting a Meter Data Management system in a utility AMI environment.
  • Experience with Head-End systems, streaming integration, Datadog, or Splunk.

What You'll Do
  • Execute MDMS requirements, design, configuration, integration, testing, migration, cutover, and stabilization activities.
  • Configure and support the vendor MDMS application in partnership with the MDMS Lead, technology vendor, system integrator, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot application, interface, data-quality, resource-usage, reliability, and performance issues.
  • Use advanced SQL to validate data, investigate exceptions, reconcile results, and analyze system performance and operational trends.
  • Create scripts, alerts, dashboards, and automation that improve system visibility and proactive issue detection.
  • Define subsystem interfaces, integration approaches, sequence diagrams, state models, and versioning practices.
  • Review vendor designs, source code, test results, and system data for quality, accuracy, resilience, and compliance with technical requirements.
  • Support stress, endurance, fault-injection, failure-recovery, and end-to-end integration testing as appropriate.
  • Track technical risks, recommend mitigations, and lead small feature areas or technical initiatives.
  • Coordinate closely with Head-End, SAP, integration, cloud, security, platform, and business teams.
