Overview:
Location: Albany, NY
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000

We are seeking a MES Procurement Support Specialist who will support our client with large-scale IT procurement initiatives through documentation development, requirements gathering, and procurement content creation. This role will help develop high-quality solicitation materials, standard procurement templates, and supporting documentation for complex technology projects. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and analyst who can translate business and technical needs into clear, accurate, and well-organized procurement deliverables.

Duties:

Assist with developing standard content sections and templates for procurement files
Develop high-quality, grammatically correct RFP content
Document business and technical requirements for procurements
Perform market research and provide insights based on similar procurements in the MES domain
Draft service level agreements (SLAs)
Support stakeholder meetings to gather feedback on requirements and procurement content
Develop cost proposal content using Excel-based tools
Support cost estimation development
Develop evaluation criteria using Excel-based tools
Perform quality reviews and editorial support for procurement content
Assist with meeting coordination, including scheduling, agenda development, and meeting minutes

Mandatory Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience supporting large-scale projects, programs, or organizational initiatives
2+ years of experience developing procurement documentation for large-scale information technology initiatives
Experience developing clear, high-quality written content for procurement or solicitation documents
Experience documenting business and technical requirements
Experience using Microsoft Excel to support procurement-related analysis, cost content, or evaluation criteria

Desirable Qualifications:

Master’s degree
3+ years of experience with general IT systems and related training or education
2+ years of experience with healthcare systems
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA, or Kanban
Experience with project management, business analysis, ITIL, or similar frameworks
Experience supporting development of SLAs, cost estimates, or evaluation tools for technology procurements
