OverviewOur client is seeking a mid-level
Network Administrator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a highly
customer-facing role that blends hands-on networking expertise with strong business partnership skills. You'll work directly with stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into effective network solutions across both office and manufacturing environments.
This position offers a mix of
network administration and engineering, with involvement in infrastructure design, deployment, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Tier 2 network support, troubleshooting LAN, WAN, WLAN, voice, and security issues while maintaining clear documentation
- Administer and support Cisco network infrastructure (Catalyst, Nexus, routers, switches, wireless controllers, and APs)
- Design and coordinate MDF/IDF buildouts, including racks, power, UPS, grounding, and environmental standards
- Partner with engineering and vendors to execute fiber routes, structured cabling, and network installations
- Oversee cabling lifecycle: installation, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation
- Support connectivity across plants and offices (VLANs, switchports, cutovers, endpoint validation)
- Assist with wireless deployments, including site surveys (Ekahau or similar), AP installation, and performance optimization
- Coordinate and support industrial paging systems and AV integrations in manufacturing environments
- Administer telephony systems (Cisco CUCM, Microsoft Teams Phone), including provisioning and call routing
- Maintain accurate documentation, follow change management processes, and support IT/OT environments
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response
Required Qualifications- 3+ years of network administration and deployment experience
- Ability to interpret engineering/facility drawings and translate into network/cabling plans
- Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards, testing, labeling, and documentation best practices
- Experience with MDF/IDF buildouts and vendor-led infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, wireless)
- Experience with telephony systems (Cisco CUCM, Teams Voice)
- Familiarity with wireless survey tools (Ekahau or similar)
- Exposure to industrial/OT networking (PLCs, segmentation, AGVs/AMRs preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and vendor coordination skills
Preferred Experience- CCNA (or working toward certification); CCNP is a plus
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments
- Paging system design/implementation in industrial settings

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
