Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the transformation of the client’s health data infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for embedding strong project governance, management, and communication practices to support priorities such as modernizing data ingestion, implementing automated data governance, and ingesting major datasets into Data Lake. You will serve as the primary owner for planning, orchestration, and executive-level communication, ensuring all deliverables meet high-quality standards while remaining on time, within scope, and within budget.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Manage and oversee the usage of Azure DevOps (ADO) and MS Project (or Planner Premium) to maintain delivery predictability and cross-team coherence.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Conduct general project management activities, including resource alignment, schedule baselines, and budget oversight.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with governance standards and use MS Project as the authoritative system for schedule, dependencies, and executive-level reporting.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Lead cross-workstream coordination, including vendor oversight and the integration of training and governance operations.
- Agile Integration: Collaborate with Scrum Masters to ensure alignment between MS Project milestones and sprint-level work within ADO, including roadmap-to-backlog translation coordination.
Key Deliverables
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following core PM artifacts:
- Integrated Master Schedule (IMS): Develop and maintain a detailed MS Project schedule including logic-linked sequencing, dependencies across technical/operational teams, and resource assignments.
- Schedule Baseline Package: Produce baseline Gantt charts, milestone lists, and critical path identifications for governance approval.
- Multi-Horizon Roadmaps: Create strategic (annual), execution (quarterly), and operational (monthly) roadmaps derived from MS Project.
- RAID Logs & Governance Registers: Maintain structured logs for Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Dependencies, and Decisions.
- Executive Reporting: Deliver comprehensive status dashboards (R/Y/G, KPI trends) and narrative summaries for Steering Committees.
- Change Control Management: Perform impact analyses on schedule, scope, and cost for change requests and update baselines upon approval.
- Resource Planning: Forecast percentage allocations by role, develop contingency plans, and perform resource leveling.
- Vendor Oversight: Manage deliverable reviews, acceptance documentation, and contract compliance checks for third-party commitments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certification: PMP Certification is required.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Project and the Microsoft 365 stack (Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Power BI, Teams, and Power Automate).
- Experience: Proven track record in managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects, preferably involving Data Lakes (AWS/Azure) and medallion architecture.
- Communication: Exceptional skills in stakeholder management, meeting facilitation, and executive-level reporting.
- Reliability: Ability to demonstrate technical reliability and execute projects consistent with Directives and Project Charters.
