Microsoft Fabric Platform/Infrastructure Architect

Role Summary 

We are looking for a hands-on Microsoft Fabric Platform/Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, govern, and optimize enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric environments. The ideal candidate will lead platform architecture, security, networking, governance, capacity planning, monitoring, and operational excellence across Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Services, and enterprise data platforms. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and implement enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric platform architecture. 
• Configure and manage Fabric tenants, capacities, workspaces, domains, and environment standards. 
• Establish and enforce platform governance, security, compliance, and operational controls. 
• Design and implement RBAC, security groups, data access policies, and workspace governance. 
• Configure and manage Fabric Capacity, Capacity Monitoring, Autoscaling, and Cost Optimization. 
• Architect and implement network connectivity, private endpoints, gateways, and hybrid integration patterns. 
• Define and implement CI/CD, DevOps, environment promotion, and deployment pipelines for Fabric assets. 
• Design platform monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards. 
• Establish standards for OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering, and Power BI workloads. 
• Implement enterprise-grade disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resiliency strategies. 
• Integrate Fabric with Azure services including Entra ID, Key Vault, Storage, Purview, Azure Monitor, and Sentinel. 
• Develop automation for tenant administration, workspace provisioning, governance enforcement, and operational reporting. 
• Define platform standards, architecture patterns, best practices, and operational runbooks. 
• Provide architecture guidance for onboarding new business units, projects, and data domains. 
• Support platform troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity optimization, and incident resolution. 

Required Skills 

• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric Administration and Architecture 
• Expertise in Fabric Capacity Management and Governance 
• Experience with Power BI Service Administration 
• Strong understanding of OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, and Data Engineering 
• Azure platform experience including Entra ID, Azure Storage, Key Vault, Monitor, and Networking 
• Experience implementing RBAC, Security, Compliance, and Data Governance 
• CI/CD and DevOps experience using Azure DevOps and Git 
• Monitoring, Logging, and Observability implementation 
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and cloud platform operations 
• Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support skills 

Good to Have 

• Microsoft Fabric Certifications (DP-600, DP-700, PL-300, AZ-305) 
• Microsoft Purview implementation experience 
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates 
• Experience with Power Platform governance 
• Experience integrating Fabric with Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, or Informatica 
• Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards 
• Automation development using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs 
• Experience implementing enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality, and MDM solutions 
• Multi-cloud experience across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform 
• Experience building enterprise monitoring and observability solutions for data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
