Firewall Engineer - Contract - Remote - $65.00 - $72.95/hr.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Firewall Engineer in for a remote opportunity

Skills & Requirements

10+ years experience
Experience managing Palo Alto and Checkpoint Firewalls
Experience in remediation of overly permissive rules
Experience with managing firewalls in an Azure environment
Strong ability to work independently
Desire to support daily operations of firewall security policies
Support in incident response and troubleshooting
Understanding of splunk
Knowledgeable in conversation of layer 4 rules to layer 7 using userID and appID
Understanding of creating custom appID's
Has managed Palo Alto infrastructure (upgrades, patches, configurations)
Experienced in managing Checkpoint firewalls in an IaaS environment
Deployed Palo Alto firewalls in an IaaS environment
Ability to leverage python scripts to automate tasks
