Job Title: Product Owner

Location: McLean, VA (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our team for a data-focused project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product ownership within the data/technology domain and will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver high-quality data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
Gather, analyze, and define business and data requirements
Create and manage product backlog, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and prioritization activities
Develop and maintain product roadmap aligned with business goals
Collaborate with development, QA, and data teams to ensure successful delivery
Oversee ETL processes and ensure data quality and integrity
Support testing efforts including UAT and validation of deliverables

Required Skills

Strong experience as a Product Owner in data/technology environments
Solid understanding of ETL processes and data analysis
Experience with tools like Informatica
Experience in product roadmap planning and execution
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) processes
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Domain Experience

Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on data platforms or data integration projects
Familiarity with SQL or database concepts
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
