Description:
The Judge Group's Direct client in the Financial services Industry is seeking a "Senior Java Developer". This is a Hybrid role in Manassas, VA.

Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Location: Manassas, VA/ HYBRID

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to lead the design and development of enterprise-grade applications. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design, development, and implementation of complex software components and applications.
  • Ensure adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Partner with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Maintain technical documentation including design specifications, APIs, and operational procedures.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum processes and CI/CD pipeline enhancements.
  • Ensure applications meet stringent standards for security, reliability, and scalability.


Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).
  • Proven expertise in designing secure, scalable, and highly available distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of financial messaging protocols is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
