Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining both physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux) in a VMware environment hosted on an HPE platform. The role involves monitoring server performance, capacity, and availability, applying patches and security updates, and implementing best practices for server hardening.
Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows/Linux) 2012, 2016, 2019 and 2022
Linux Red Hat 8.9
SQL Server 2016
Manage VMware ESX/ESXi environments on HPE platforms
Maintain and restore VM backups and snapshots
Administrate [SRM] Site Recovery Manager and vSphere Replication
Ensure disaster recovery strategies are in place and regularly tested
Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability
Apply patches, updates, and security hardening measures
Administer and troubleshoot networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
Managing 2019 Active Directory environments
Familiarity with cloud platforms Support cloud platforms (Azure and AWS)
Utilize automation tools such as PowerShell scripts
Administer and manage storage solutions (NetApp/Dell EMC)
Support and Administration of Exchange Hybrid Environments (on-premises and M365, win 2019) including Archiving solutions hosted on Enterprise Vault CA/DA, and RightFax
Automating administrative tasks using PowerShell and scripting tools.
Knowledge of Email protocols [SMTP, IMAP and POP]
Manage Citrix environments, including published Virtual Applications and NetScaler ADC
Meraki [Guest Wi-Fi]
Backup and replication solutions (Veritas NetBackup and Arcserve HRA replication)
Riverbed [Wan optimization]
Ensure high availability and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring
Diagnose and resolve server and infrastructure-related issues using ServiceNow ITSM tools
Maintain comprehensive documentation of server configurations, processes, and procedures
IT Assessment management and maintenance in ServiceNow.
Collaborate with application teams, security teams, vendors, and project teams utilizing Jira Framework
Understanding of Active Directory, GPO and OU's

Quick thinking, able to juggle priorities
Not a micromanagement environment so needs to be independent
