Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Loan Originations
The largest non-bank lender in the United States and is transforming its industry-leading lending services through innovation. We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen our QA practice for loan originations solutions-combining hands-on test automation with ownership of regression quality and risk-based testing strategy in an agile environment.

Location
Location: This role is hybrid and requires the candidate to be within a 50-mile radius of one of the following corporate locations (in order of preference): Baltimore, MD / Wilmington, DE / Dallas, TX. East coast candidates are preferred for optimal team alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with an agile team to deliver scalable software solutions, participate in code reviews, architectural
discussions, and sprint planning.
Manage and refine the regression suite using risk-based testing, strategically selecting test cases, and leveraging
automation to provide eLicient feedback on critical workflows.
Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and custom tools; analyze requirements with
stakeholders to define the testing scope and recommend best practices.
Develop comprehensive test plans, execute detailed test cases, and validate regression coverage with metricdriven
analysis to ensure reliability of software releases.
Integrate quality signals and test automation into CI/CD pipelines, publish coverage dashboards, and support
dependable, high-quality software releases.
Identify and report defects and process issues using advanced debugging tools, working directly with
developers for rapid issue resolution and root cause analysis.
Align testing strategies with SDETs and stakeholders, contribute to technical discussions, and mentor junior QA
engineers.

Skills and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered.
Professional Background: Minimum of 5 years in Quality Engineering or SDET roles, demonstrating leadership
in regression strategy and test automation.
Programming: Expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript; knowledge of Ruby, Java, or Python is a strong asset.
Automation Frameworks: Experience with Playwright, Selenium, TestCafe, Appium, WebdriverIO,
RSpec/Capybara, or TestNG for UI/API testing.
Testing Tools: Skilled in test management platforms (Xray, TestRail, Azure DevOps), API testing (Postman,
JMeter, SOAP UI), and data formats such as JSON/XML.
Databases & Cloud: Proficient with SQL/NoSQL databases (especially Postgres) and AWS cloud environments.
Version Control & CI/CD: Strong skills in Git, CircleCI, Jenkins, and pipeline integration.
Methodologies: Advanced understanding of risk-based testing and test case prioritization.
Scripting: Proficient in shell scripting for automation and deployment tasks.
Analytical & Collaboration: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills; eLective collaborator and mentor,
promoting quality engineering standards.
