Job Description

We are seeking a Java Full Stack Developer (Intermediate) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, distributed systems, and DevOps practices and a proven ability to design, build, test, and operate reliable services at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and delivery of components and services with documented trade-offs, interfaces, and clear milestones.


• Define best practices for approved AI tool usage; create reusable prompts and workflows; coach the team on safe adoption.


• Set testing strategy; ensure robust unit, integration, and contract tests; add performance and reliability tests as needed.


• Own release plans and runbooks; improve CI/CD automation; implement safe rollout and rollback approaches including canary and blue green.


• Lead incident response for owned scope; run postmortems; define SLIs and SLOs; improve observability and reduce MTTR.


• Enforce secure coding and dependency hygiene; manage secrets; align deliveries with compliance requirements.


• Drive knowledge transfer through demos, design reviews, and enablement sessions; ensure maintainability post contract.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Core Java and Spring/Spring Boot proficiency.


• Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.


• Kafka for event streaming and messaging patterns.


• Cassandra and CockroachDB for distributed data management.


• Observability with Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.


• Python or Shell scripting for automation and tooling; DevOps engineering experience.


• Experience level: 4-7 years in relevant roles.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding and practical usage of AI in engineering workflows.


• Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.

Suggested Deliverables & Measures

• Milestones: Feature or component shipped to production within 90 days; follow-on iterations for reliability and performance in subsequent quarters.


• Reliability: Defined SLIs/SLOs for owned services; visible MTTR reduction over the term.


• Quality: At least 80% unit coverage on critical modules where applicable; contract tests at service boundaries; reduced change failure rate.


• CI/CD: Automated pipelines for owned areas; documented rollback procedures; measurable deployment safety including time to rollback.


• Handoff: Complete ADRs, diagrams, and runbooks; two enablement sessions; zero critical vulnerabilities past SLA at end of term.
