Cognos Report Writer (Remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking a skilled remote Cognos Report Writer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards supporting enterprise reporting and risk/compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong IBM Cognos Analytics experience, with preferred exposure to the OpenPages reporting layer, and will work closely with a Cognos Solutions Architect to deliver scalable, accurate, and performant reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and maintain reports and dashboards using Company Cognos Analytics
* Leverage the OpenPages reporting layer (preferred) to support GRC, risk, and compliance reporting needs
* Partner closely with a Cognos Solutions Architect to align reporting solutions with enterprise architecture and data models
* Translate business and technical requirements into effective reporting solutions
* Optimize report performance, ensure data accuracy, and follow reporting best practices
* Troubleshoot and resolve report, data, and performance issues
* Support enhancements, modifications, and ongoing maintenance of existing Cognos reports
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and validate outputs
* Document report logic, data sources, and design standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Demonstrated experience as a Cognos Report Writer/Developer
* Strong hands-on experience with Company Cognos Analytics (reporting, dashboards, data modules, Framework Manager concepts)
* Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
* Experience translating business requirements into technical reporting solutions
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience developing Cognos reports using the OpenPages reporting layer
* Background supporting GRC, risk, compliance, audit, or regulatory reporting
* Experience working in partnership with solution or data architects
* Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses and complex data models

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
