RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Watson.gov Solution Architect in Armonk, NY.
Summary:
The Watson.gov Solution Architect designs and delivers enterprise AI governance solutions for regulated clients. This client-facing role leads solution architecture across AI risk management, model governance, compliance workflows, and audit-ready AI lifecycle management using IBM Watson.gov capabilities, including OpenPages, OpenScale, and AI Factsheets. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong AI governance knowledge, and the ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions.
Essential Functions:
Solution Architecture:
* Lead end-to-end Watson.gov solution architecture across regulated industries
* Design AI governance frameworks covering risk, controls, approvals, monitoring, and documentation
* Translate regulatory, compliance, and business requirements into technical architectures and workflows
* Define reference architectures, integration patterns, and deployment models
OpenPages (AI GRC):
* Architect AI governance workflows for risk identification, controls, issue management, audit evidence, and reporting
* Configure data models, workflows, dashboards, and integrations
* Align AI governance with enterprise risk and compliance operating models
OpenScale (Model Governance & Monitoring):
* Design model monitoring strategies for performance, drift, bias, fairness, and explainability
* Define model approval processes and governance gates
* Integrate monitoring outputs into governance and compliance workflows
AI Factsheets:
* Architect model documentation and lifecycle governance
* Ensure models are audit-ready, traceable, and compliant with internal and regulatory standards
* Define standards for model cards, lineage, ownership, & approvals
Engagement & Delivery:
* Lead client workshops and architecture design sessions
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years in solution, platform, or enterprise architecture
* Proven experience in regulated environments (e.g., financial services, public sector, healthcare, telecom, energy)
* Strong client-facing consulting experience
IBM Watson.gov Expertise:
* Hands-on experience with OpenPages, OpenScale, and AI Factsheets
* Experience integrating Watson.gov components into enterprise environments
AI & Governance Knowledge:
* AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI principles
* Model lifecycle management, auditability, and regulatory compliance expectations
Technical Skills:
* Enterprise integrations (APIs, IAM, data platforms)
* Cloud and hybrid enterprise environments
* Design of scalable, secure, and compliant architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AI governance or GRC platforms beyond Watson.gov
* Background in model risk, compliance, or enterprise risk
* Experience supporting government or highly regulated clients
* Exposure to MLOps, data governance, or analytics platforms

* Audit-ready, scalable, and defensible AI governance architectures
* High client trust in governance models
* Delivery teams enabled by clear patterns and guardrails

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
