Job Title: IMS/IDMS Specialist
Location: Dearborn, MI (Day1 onsite)
Contract: 6+ months & Extendable (Long term)
Pay rate - $50/hr on W2/Danta Technologies payroll (OR) $60/hr on C2C
Role Overview: We are seeking experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IMS (Information Management System DB/TM) and IDMS (Integrated Database Management System) for development and maintenance projects
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS.
- Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Provide production support and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Ford''s standards, guidelines, and security protocols.
- Document technical specifications, workflows, and processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in IMS DB/TM and IDMS development and maintenance.
- Proven track record of working in the Ford environment (current or past).
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and other mainframe utilities.
- Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Ford-specific applications and processes.
- Experience in migration, modernization, or integration projects.
- Ability to work across global teams in NA and AP regions.
