Job Description
We are seeking a Platform Engineer I to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supporting third-party capital markets platforms, vendor coordination, and agile delivery and a proven ability to evaluate, design, and implement changes that ensure business continuity and regulatory effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison with software vendors such as FIS and S&P for platforms used by Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Dealer Compliance, including Kiodex and Cappitech.
- Monitor vendor roadmaps, releases, and enhancements, and assess business impact.
- Assist in solution design to incorporate vendor software changes and support effective implementation with business partners.
- Develop understanding of bank systems and configurations; plan and execute required reconfiguration to meet upcoming changes.
- Align to an agile squad and collaborate with the product owner to define user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Recommend continued utilization or rationalization of third-party solutions based on the technology roadmap.
- Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while improving quality and reliability.
- Follow best practices and contribute to communities of practice to promote continuous improvement.
- Automate processes to achieve operational excellence and create maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for team products and services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of engineering or IT experience relevant to platform support and integration.
- Experience supporting third-party capital markets platforms and aligning changes to business roadmaps.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a collaborative work style.
- Understanding of IT security best practices and risk-aware operations.
- Expertise in commodities trading platforms and swap dealer compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Kiodex, Cappitech, and related Capital Markets platforms.
- Background in agile delivery with user story definition and vendor coordination.
