Platform Engineer I (Onsite)
Primary Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Platform Engineer I for our premier client in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Three+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment.
  • Technical skills per the specific positions requirements.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices.
  • Expertise in commodities trading platforms and swap dealer compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Kiodex, Cappitech, and other Capital Markets IT platforms preferred.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Liaison with software vendor(s) such as FIS and S&P for systems utilized by the Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Dealer Compliance lines of business, including Kiodex and Cappitech.
  • Stay abreast of upcoming changes and enhancements in vendors software and how those changes will impact the business.
  • Assists with the line of business (or in support of a more senior Platform Engineer) to help design solutions to incorporate software changes and effectively works with business partners to ensure effective implementation.
  • Seek to gain full understanding of the business technology roadmap and make recommendations on continued utilization or elimination of current third party software solutions.
  • Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of our technical products and services.
  • Follow industry and organizational best practices and standards, and participate in company communities of practice to continuously refine and communicate them. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Help achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
  • Keep up with technology trends and innovations in your field(s) of practice.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for your teams products and services.
