Why join Rolls-Royce?

At Rolls-Royce we are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

Our emerging talent programs are designed to help you build your career from day one. You'll work on meaningful projects, learn from experienced colleagues, and develop the skills to make a real impact. That's Infinite Potential.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a Thermofluids Engineer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on flagship RR programs and play an important role in addressing some of the most complex and interesting technological challenges in Defense.

The Thermofluids Systems Engineer is responsible for designing and analysis of gas turbine air, oil, fuel, and thermal management systems along with component and/or subsystem thermal analysis. The role supports the entire product lifecycle from concept generation and evaluation to in-service support.

What you'll be doing:
  • Performing detailed fluid flow analyses of gas turbine engine systems, subsystems, and components using 1-D network analysis and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Performing heat transfer analyses of gas turbine engine subsystems and components using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools
  • Applying systems engineering concepts to define whole engine fluid systems and support resolution of system-level issues. This will include working together with other engineers in Thermofluids, Engine Performance, Controls, Installations, Turbines, Compressors, Combustion, and Power Transmission Systems
  • Providing technical support to product design and support teams.
  • Supporting engine development testing through analysis or on-site test by planning, monitoring, inspection of instrumented hardware (pre and post-test), data reduction, and model validation
  • Preparing and deliver analysis results in formal and informal design reviews, and issue technical design reports

Who we're looking for:
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical or aerospace engineering and/or related degree required
  • A strong passion for the future of technology
  • A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations: in most cases, you'll be able to meet the requirements in the location you are recruited to; however, we may need you to be flexible and travel between sites.
  • Open-minded, curious, and agile approach to work and career development
  • Basic understanding of gas turbine fluid system design, modeling, and analysis preferred
  • Familiarity with heat transfer/thermals modelling and analysis preferred
  • Programming skills such as Visual Basic, FORTRAN, Matlab, Python, PERL, and/or C++ preferred

Our behaviors drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We'll expect that of you, too.

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Graduation eligibility: Graduating between December 2026 and August 2027

What we offer:
  • Meaningful work from day one, with the support to help you succeed
  • A culture that invests in your personal and professional development
  • The chance to grow your skills while working on real projects in a global company

Join us and help create the technologies that will shape tomorrow. If you're ready to learn, grow and make a lasting difference from day one, we'd love to hear from you.
