Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced **Business Analyst** to support the **GTM ORBIT Program**, a strategic data modernization initiative focused on transforming legacy geospatial, operational, and reporting systems into a scalable, cloud-native data and analytics ecosystem.

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, GIS specialists, data engineering teams, Asset Integrity, Operations, Commercial, Compliance, and Technology teams to define business requirements, improve data quality, enable advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities, and support the evolution of enterprise reporting and data platforms.

The successful candidate will serve as a critical bridge between business objectives and technical delivery teams, ensuring that solution requirements are clearly defined, traceable, and aligned with enterprise data governance, reporting accuracy, operational effectiveness, and long-term business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

### Business Analysis & Requirements Management

- Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management of business and functional requirements across diverse stakeholder groups.

- Conduct stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, process mapping exercises, and requirements-gathering activities with Operations, Asset Integrity, Commercial, GIS, Compliance, and Technology teams.

- Translate business objectives and operational needs into clearly defined functional and non-functional requirements.

- Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, gap analyses, and functional specifications.

- Facilitate requirements review sessions and ensure alignment between business expectations, solution design, and project objectives.

- Establish and maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

- Support solution design discussions and validate that proposed solutions align with strategic business goals and operational requirements.

### Data Modernization, Reporting & Analytics Enablement

- Assess current-state data, reporting, and GIS ecosystems to identify opportunities for modernization, optimization, and automation.

- Define business and data requirements supporting operational reporting, dashboards, performance metrics, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled insights.

- Support the migration of data and reporting capabilities from legacy platforms to modern cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, and analytics environments.

- Collaborate with Data Engineering, GIS, and Analytics teams to define trusted data products, reporting solutions, and enterprise data assets.

- Assist in defining and standardizing KPIs, business metrics, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement practices.

- Ensure data and reporting requirements are aligned with future-state architecture, scalability, and enterprise analytics strategies.

### Data Governance & Data Quality

- Support the implementation and adoption of enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata standards, and data ownership models.

- Partner with business and technical teams to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve data quality issues.

- Define business rules, validation criteria, reconciliation processes, and data quality controls.

- Facilitate discussions pertaining to data stewardship, accountability, lineage, classification, and governance requirements.

- Ensure reporting and analytical outputs are supported by trusted, accurate, and governed data sources.

### Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across:

   - GTM Data & Decision Support Services

   - GIS Department

   - Asset Integrity

   - Operations

   - Commercial

   - Compliance

   - Enterprise Analytics

   - Technology & Infrastructure Services (TIS)

- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to align stakeholders on business requirements, priorities, dependencies, and expected outcomes.

- Communicate findings, recommendations, risks, and business impacts effectively to project teams, management, and executive stakeholders.

- Prepare and present business cases, solution recommendations, and project updates to leadership and program sponsors.

### Project Delivery Support

- Support project delivery activities within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

- Assist with backlog creation, refinement, prioritization, release planning, and sprint planning activities.

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle.

- Participate in solution validation, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and business readiness activities.

- Support change management, user adoption, communications, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

- Track business outcomes, benefits realization metrics, and value delivery against project objectives.
