Onsite in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

The organization seeks a mid-level Integrated Master Scheduler and Risk Manager to develop, integrate, and maintain comprehensive Integrated Master Schedules across multiple programs. The role will consolidate critical paths, forecast cost and funding, and anticipate staffing and logistics needs while aligning with DoD acquisition milestones. The position will also lead risk management activities, maintaining a robust risk register and delivering metrics that enable early risk recognition and mitigation. This role supports program leadership with clear analyses, documentation, and briefings for schedule and risk posture.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and update Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for multiple programs within the product office.
  • Identify and track key program milestones, CDRL deliveries, program reviews, integration activities, contract changes, and training requirements.
  • Consolidate critical paths across projects and product offices into a single IMS to enable accurate performance tracking and forecasting.
  • Create and manage milestone schedules to support cost and funding forecasting and staffing and logistics planning.
  • Serve as the primary risk manager and develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register for all programs.
  • Provide program success metrics and an integrated view of risks to enable early risk recognition, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Support development and execution of risk mitigation plans and present risk status to program leadership.
  • Deliver schedule and risk analyses supporting organizational, administrative, and product management efforts.
  • Support development and sustainment of program plans, policies, and acquisition documentation aligned with DoD milestones and decision points.
  • Prepare, staff, and present briefings, presentations, and reports to communicate schedule status, risk posture, and milestone progress.
  • Provide administrative and management support including staff action tracking, research, file organization, documentation, and processing deliverables.

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of program management support experience, including at least 5 years in a DoD Acquisition environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing IMS using Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • Proven experience with DoD risk management processes including identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition milestones, decision points, and staffing processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Knowledge of the DoD Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management Guide.
  • Ability to consolidate critical paths of numerous projects and product offices into a single IMS.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to travel less than 10%.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in any field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).
