Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to oversee full-cycle accounting, multi-state payroll, client billing, financial reporting, and cash flow management for a specialized staffing company. This role works closely with executive leadership and supervises AR/AP staff to ensure accurate financial operations and strong working capital management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end close, general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and executive financial reporting.
Process high-volume, multi-state contractor payroll and client invoicing.
Oversee accounts receivable, collections, and accounts payable functions.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, payroll tax requirements, workers' compensation, and regulatory filings.
Assist with year-end audits, tax preparation, and insurance audits.
Improve accounting, payroll, and timekeeping processes and system integrations.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of AR/AP staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and general ledger management.
Prior supervisory experience managing accounting support staff.
Experience with payroll, billing, and accounting operations in a staffing environment strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and payroll systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
CPA or CMA designation/candidacy is a plus.

Multi-state payroll and tax compliance.
Experience working directly with senior executives.
Familiarity with oil & gas or energy sector clients is a plus.
