Our information technology support services is designed to help people live healthier lives.
Widescope is embarking on a multi-year modernization journey across multiple federal programs. Accordingly, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team.
The ideal candidate will have significant past Software Engineering experience, and test-worthy expertise in SQL, SSIS, and ETL.
strong foundation in software design, development, and deployment practices, with the ability to write clean, scalable code and solve complex technical challenges. As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building robust applications that power our products and services, collaborating across teams to ensure functionality, performance, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Design, develop, test, and debug application components in alignment with technical standards and business requirements.
Partner with stakeholders, product owners, and feature teams to define and refine requirements.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and standards.
Support production environments through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable data pipelines.
Create and manage data models and transformations within assigned domains.
Ensure data quality, documentation, and end-to-end data lineage.
Participate in shared on-call rotations to support application and data workflows (24/7/365).
Required Qualifications:
Experience leveraging AI tools in the software development lifecycle to improve quality and efficiency
2+ years software engineering experience in agile environments.
Experience with web applications, REST APIs, and relational databases.
.NET Core or similar OOP language; Angular/React or similar.
Data engineering experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Experience with Domain Driven Design, event-driven architecture, and cloud platforms.
Experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Experience utilizing Python.
Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and automated provisioning & config management
Understanding of networking, security, and PKI/OWASP concepts.
Experience with data governance, observability, and analytics tooling.
