Calypso Engineer (100% remote)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Calypso Engineer. This role is 100% remote.

Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Application Delivery Engineer with deep expertise in Calypso and FX trading platforms to help accelerate a large-scale capital markets modernization initiative. This engineer will join an established team supporting the organization's migration from Spectrum to Calypso, helping expand the platform while delivering new trading capabilities, integrations, risk functionality, and operational enhancements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Calypso expert who can contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up and has extensive experience building and supporting enterprise FX trading platforms.

Responsibilities include:
* Help design, develop, and enhance the organization's hosted Calypso environment while partnering closely with business, operations, and technology teams
* Design, develop, and customize Calypso functionality across multiple FX products
* Expand platform capabilities by onboarding new products, trade types, and business workflows
* Build and enhance integrations between Calypso and internal/external financial systems
* Develop scalable Java-based services utilizing Calypso APIs and REST APIs
* Enhance accounting, operational, settlement, and risk reporting functionality
* Support trade lifecycle processing for FX products
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver MVP2 project milestones
* Assist with the ongoing migration from Spectrum to Calypso
* Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support
* Participate in architecture discussions and platform modernization initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on Calypso development experience
* Strong Java development experience
* Experience developing REST APIs and application integrations
* Expert-level knowledge of Calypso architecture, engines, and APIs
* Deep knowledge of FX trading and trade lifecycle management
* Experience supporting: Spot FX, FX Swaps, Cross-Currency Swaps, FX Options
* Experience implementing new products and functionality within Calypso
* Advanced SQL skills with strong understanding of relational databases
* Strong understanding of capital markets technology and front-to-back trade processing
* Ability to work independently in a highly collaborative remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience migrating from Spectrum to Calypso
* Experience with Wallstreet Systems (WSS) or Spectrum
* Experience integrating Calypso with financial market utilities such as: Bloomberg; DTCC; MarkitWire; AcadiaSoft; TriResolve
* AWS cloud experience
* CI/CD experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform, Nexus, or similar tools
* Experience supporting treasury or foreign exchange technology platforms

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
