Database Developer
On-site | Austin, TX | Contract
We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and supporting database systems and reports for a large-scale project. This is a long-term contract position requiring advanced database development expertise and a strong ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL to meet project requirements.
Develop, optimize, and maintain stored procedures for efficient data processing.
Perform data aggregation and analysis to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevance of generated reports.
Troubleshoot and resolve database bugs and issues, ensuring system reliability.
Participate in Agile development practices to deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
Conduct unit testing to validate the functionality and performance of database solutions.
Document database systems, processes, and procedures to facilitate ongoing support and development.
Provide regular updates on project status and manage deliverables effectively.
Contribute thought leadership and innovative approaches to complex technical challenges.
Requirements
Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and advanced SQL development.
Strong skills in T-SQL and stored procedure creation.
Expertise in ETL processes for data transformation and integration.
Ability to perform complex data analysis and aggregation.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within deadlines.
